For an unofficial list of hotels/motels for this year’s Hamvention®, go to the local Convention and Visitor’s Bureaus. You must contact hotels and/or motels directly for availability and reservations. Please let them know you found out about them on the web and that your stay is for the Hamvention®.
Special note from Greene County Fairgrounds
For those people who have camping reservations at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Expo Center (GCFEC) for the weekend of what would have been Hamvention 2021, you will be receiving a message from the GCFEC asking if you would like to still come to Xenia and camp that weekend. Details will be in the letter/email you receive from them, as well as details for refunds. We would like all our friends to know that this will NOT be a mini Hamvention. There will be a food truck event that weekend at the GCFEC, but there will be no exhibits, no flea market and no use of a camping space as a flea market space.
If you want to come and hang out with your ham friends that would have camped for Hamvention, it might be fun in a subdued sort of way. There is no telling how much social distancing will be reduced by the state of Ohio by then. The good news: If you like food trucks, it will be to your liking.
On-site camping is managed by Greene County Fairgrounds office at 937-372-8621. No tent camping is permitted and no overnight camping is permitted in the flea market.

Pilots flying your own small airplane for the Hamvention and need ground transportation? Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport is located just south of Rt. 35 approximately 7 miles east of Dayton and is the closest airport to downtown, not to mention the easiest to get in and out of if using small aircraft. Our fuel prices are some of the lowest in the area, and our facility is well kept and capable of handling quite a bit of traffic. Mac Air is the full service fixed based operator (FBO) on the field. They provide fuel sales, aircraft rental, flight instruction, airframe and engine maintenance, parking and hangaring for your aircraft, catering, complementary ice and Avis/ Budget rental cars.
For those people arriving at Greene County Regional Airport, MacAir Aviation will have a courtesy van to shuttle Hamvention attendees to and from the fairgrounds. The free shuttle service will be available from 8 am to 8 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
